Important Information

The SINP works through Government of Canada delegations and consulates around the world and not through any agencies or legislative body anywhere.   1. How to Apply

There is a choice of three SINP groups you can apply to. You will also have to complete the federal application forms at the same time.

International Skilled Worker Category is for expert workers abroad who want to work and live in Saskatchewan. This Group is for foreign nationals who are presently living and earning in Saskatchewan.

Entrepreneur Category is for entrepreneurs who plan to start a business in Saskatchewan. Farm Category is for experienced farmers who plan to buy and operate a farm in Saskatchewan.

Process for Applying to the SINP

Review the Application Guide in each category or sub-category, for instructions on how to complete your application. The guide contains all the information you’ll need for this. Obtain all the supporting documents we ask for. For a detailed description, please see the Supporting Documents section of your Application Guide. Complete the needed federal forms and any other federal forms that apply to your situation. Review and organize your completed forms and supporting documents to make sure you have a complete application package.


Recommendation and Final Decision

Once we’ve squared all the gen in the applications, we’ll make an endorsement on selection. The endorsement will then be studied and a final conclusion will be made. The decision will be one of the following:

Approved/nominated applications: We’ll direct the applicant a nomination package with gen on next steps. The candidate will have to apply to IRCC within six months of submission.

Ineligible applications: We’ll send the applicant a letter to inform him for this. The candidate may be asked for a secondary review.

Misrepresentation: If we trust there has been falsification in an application, we’ll hold off on giving out it until after we scrutinize. We’ll send the applicant, their employer and/or representative a “procedural fairness letter”; with facts. They’ll be able to direct in evidence that they didn’t commit distortion.
